"Yes. But it sounds dangerous there. Go straight, past the first intersecting ducts, and then it'll be right, and then left..."

I cant let them jepordize your safety and that of the rest of your people, If i can drop down behind them we might be able to end this safely.... Serah can you see if Alexander will be good with that

Serah nodded grimly to Rheatia as she continued to try to hack into the university's system.

"If you were able to watch the Assembly he was our representative.  He came with me here because he was the one who agreed to hear out your people's side of the story and did not feel right leaving that to someone else."  she listened to Ashara and nodded.  "I'm transmitting now."



Alexander nodded and pressed the hilt of the sword, the blade receded back into a cane.  He pressed a button on the hilt and the recording from the Galactic Assembly of his introduction then his agreeing to meet a Eosa to decide what his opinions on them played holographically before them.

"My people will do anything to have my safe return, including influence the ADR to grant you full unchangeable human rights.  You have a few guards that no one besides their families, friends, and myself care to save.  Make your decision."  he paused, hearing Serah through the intercom.  he transmitted back to them "Don't risk any lives."



Serah would tell Ashara his response in a conflicted tone.

"He's being vague again.  Do what you can for them..."

I..... does that mean yes come down here and help or stay with rhaetia.......I cant do anything medicaly.....

"Go and help, but try to keep the others alive," Serah said hesitantly, but she knew Chase wasn't joking.  He would do anything for the hostages to survive and she knew that.

::With that he'd nod and   book it through the vent his armor allowing him to slide fairly quickly  through the vents his helmet resealed as he slid through. When he arrived he would  quietly and carefuly remove a vent grating so that he could drop down right behind the 2 Eosa that had the guards Captive, he would drop and  land on his legs bending slightly, as he stood back up he would attempt to quickly grab the 2  guns  and pull them up very quickly hoping to catch each gun in the center of their mass with his blade, if they cut the guns would be useless if not at least his suit would give him the ability to pull them from the unsuspecting Eosa's hands:: Thats Enough...... No one needs to die here.  Our 2 colonies have staked our claim that your people are worth having freedom. Dont prove these idiot scientists and academics right. ::his eyes would be glowing violently blue again

Up until this point the O.M.N.E employees have been staying by the side of the Eosa, but as soon as Ashara left Jordan looked to the two other scientists in his group and said "Alright, it's gotten out of hand, i think its time you two got involved in this?"

The other two "scientists" removed their lab coats and all other dress attire which was covering up the form fitting kevlar omnium blend body armor, that had the logo of securion on each soldier along with their serial identification. They were operatives 13 and 37. The went to their bags and pulled out two protective visor helmet with built it B.L.A.S.T systems and two small rectangles that unfolded into two small pistols.

They quickly moved to the door and asked the security personnel "Where do we need to go? We can supplement your forces and the cascadian if you have nothing else we should do."

Hell broke loose in the lobby. The trigger-happy Eosa activists started firing when something dropped behind them unexpectedly. Ashara caught one of them unaware, and ripped his gun to shreds as the Eos staggered backwards; the hostage he was holding took an opporunity to break free and sprint towards the other guards to safety. The second hostage was not so lucky, and a few gunshots range out as his captor tried to struggle away from Ashara. It was unclear whether he was hit or not, but the Eos grappled onto the captive guard tightly and tried to pin him down.

The other two Eosa in front were caught off-guard. One spun around and immediately opened fire at Ashara from a few feet away with his assault rifle. The other reacted more logically, and rushed forward with his gun trained directly at Alexander Chase to try and capture him and regain their control of the situation. "Get down! On the ground, put your hands up!" The ADR guards behind Chase were unable to get a clear shot - they were terrified of accidentally catching the Novalysian overseer in the crossfire. They kept their guns at the ready, but held their fire. "Drop your weapons! We will shoot to kill! Drop your weapons NOW!"

The Securion operatives would be able to see the way down the hallway clearly, and even moreso now that the gunshots would guide them to the lobby. It was a short run away. They would have to get there quickly if they hoped to intervene in time.

Alexander expression turned grim at the turn of events, one of the captives was free, but the other may be dying.  He knew he wouldn't make it to the men before the Eosa tried executing him.  He glared, turning toward the assailant who approached him as the metal plating of his cane shifted in succession up to release the blade.  

"I gave you a chance," he uttered coldly as he stepped abruptly toward the Eosa and with no more hesitation slashed toward his arms and gun.


Serah stayed behind at the ventilation shaft entrance, listening to the situation and cringing at the sound of shouting and gunfire. She kept herself calm though, standing with her eyes closed as the Databook streamed with senseless codes of script and characters. She had yet to be able to unlock the system and continued desperately trying to crack their security.

"Oh Alex," she mumbled to herself grimly.

:: Ashara  brought his hand down hard  at the back of the head of the Eosa who was struggling with him  trying to free himself up to get to the one  pinning the possibly injured Guard:: DAMNIT  STOP THIS  WE"RE TRYING TO HELP YOU. YOUR RUINING EVERYTHING

The Eos coming towards Alexander, despite his quick reflexes, was caught hard by the blade's brutal slash. It ripped across his chest, and a large gash was embedded across his forearms and shoulders. The Eos' gun slammed against the floor, misfiring a few blind shots as it hit, and the Eos hit the ground not long afterwards. He dropped to his knees and let out a voracious groan, not unlike the call of a wounded animal.

Meanwhile, the ADR security outside had heard the gunshots and swarmed the building. Serah's security crack would first begin to access the less-encrypted entrances - in particular, one of the side entrances down a class hallway. When the security gave in due to Serah's efforts, two squadrons of security busted their way through and came sprinting down the halls. They were across the building from the lobby, but they were approaching as quickly as possible.

The struggling Eos was hit by Ashara's strike and staggered away a few steps, trying to regain his balance. It left an opening for Ashara to get down to the other Eos who was struggling with the guard on the ground. The shots had stopped but the two were still grappled in hand-to-hand combat, and it seemed that the Eos was fiercely pummelling the poor unarmed guard.

:: Ashara reach down and grasped the back of the Eosa's neck very hard digging his fingers into the nerve clusters at either side of the base of his skull, the tactic was to inflict a sudden surge of pain and also lessen muscle control. All Cascadian hand to hand and on foot military training focused on minimal death toll and making an enemy not desire a rematch.:: Let go of him NOW I can hear the security forces approaching. I understand what you were trying to do here I really do. But here and now was the WORST place to take this action

Alexander stammered back as the misfire struck his chest but he straightened quickly enough to kick the Eos' gun away. He quickly contemplated killing the Eos for what had been done but his first priority now was to get to the injured guard by the wall. He moved briskly toward him as blood began dripping out of his coat. He knelt beside the injured man and placed his hand on his neck to check for a pulse.

The two securion operatives see the rep from novalyse get shot and immediately begin taking action. They raise their guns and carefully take aim at two of the eosa who pose the greatest threat. Since no one knows they are there besides the people in the room with them, they have all the time they need to line up their shots and take them. They were aiming for head shots, two quick kills to immediately turn the tables on the Eosa.

The Eos that Ashara grabbed let loose a violent growl. Meanwhile, the guard had managed to fumble the gun out of the Eos' hand, and when Ashara took the Eos' attention, the guard on the ground reared back and slammed the butt of the pistol's grip straight into the wild Eos' forehead. The combination of Ashara's painful grasp and the blunt impact of the pistol sent the man rolling off onto the side, an unconscious heap.

As soon as Alexander was free from the crossfire, one of the guards at the sidelines rushed up to help him. He stood directly behind him, giving him cover and helping him stagger away to safety. "One hit! One hit! Get aside!" They reached the other injured man against the wall; the cracked visor of his helmet was still down, and it was impossible to see the face of the man inside through the splattered blood. He had a very, very faint pulse. Footsteps from the approaching guards got closer.

The Eos that Ashara had ripped the gun away from and split it in half had time to regain his composure. He had swung around to the side swiftly and almost unnoticed, pulling a buck knife from his coat. He approached Ashara from behind, ready to plunge the blade into his back - just as two more shots rang out in the lobby. One hit him directly in the head, and he dropped lifelessly about two feet away from Ashara. The other Eos in front was hit in the side of his cheek - apparently not a kill-shot, but he began spurting blood and staggered back nonetheless. As he began to lift his gun back up, bleeding and disoriented, he was caught in a loud volley of automatic assault rifle fire from the ADR guards as the squadron rounded the last hallway. His body tremored from the force of dozens of bullets within a few seconds, and then he dropped to the floor motionless.

A brisk formation of fully armed tactics soldiers swarmed into the university lobby, rifles up and sights aimed at anything that was still moving. "FREEZE! Hands up, EVERYONE! Hands up now!" The ADR guard by Chase raised one hand to signal. "Wounded here!"

After the massacre, two Eos were lying on the floor dead. One was unconscious next to Ashara and alongside the guard that he had held captive, and the last Eos was on his knees with his hands up as blood seeped from the wound that Chase had inflicted.

Alexander took a minute before he was able to feel the man's pulse. His own wound was beginning to bleed more heavily now but he knew this man would not be able to survive much longer. he reached into his coat and removed a cylindrical vile and quickly pressed it against the man's neck, pressing the button on the end and the serum inside forcefully evacuated the tube. Inside were Nano-Machines designed to slow blood loss from large wounds. The vile then slipped out of Chase's hands and rolled across the floor as he backed away from the injured man. He covered his wound with one hand and gestured with the other to the unconscious man.

"He won't make it much longer without a blood transfusion. It doesn't matter what his blood type is, I have O- blood."

The two securion officers noticed that the other guards had taken the situation and had it under control, so they quickly moved back to the scientists from O.M.N.E and put their helmets back into the bag and their pistols back into their rectangle state, before putting their scientist disguises back on. They hoped not many people would have noticed their presence, or at least no one would mention it in all the chaos. But if they did, William Simmons had already written up an official securion statement, as well as one for CEO Connors to smooth the situation over for O.M.N.E Corporation.

Within seconds, every one of the assailants - dead or not - had two armed soldiers standing over them, rifles pointed directly at them. The unconscious one was handcuffed and being checked for vital signs; the only conscious, living Eos left submitted and was harshly cuffed and searched as he remained on his knees. The sound of sirens were heard outside as EMS vehicles moved in. Some of the soldies made their way to the wounded, trying to provide the best first-aid that they could until paramedics arrived.

"Sir, you're wounded also. We can't allow you to give a transfusion. EMS will be here shortly, we're going to get you taken care of."

Serah would finally be able to override the security systems, unlocking the front gates for emergency workers to make their way inside as soon as possible.

Alexander lowered his head, looking at his hand which already had streams of blood flowing over it. His eyes closed and he sat motionlessly with his head on his chest, whether or not he was conscious was unknown.


Serah detached the databook from her censory cores and looked blankly forward for a moment.

"I wasn't fast enough...." she muttered, looking around the room.

The next moments were a blur to the wounded; EMS, first responders, and paramedics rushed into the catastrophic scene. Media sources and reporters flocked the streets, but were strictly kept at bay.

Paramedics surrounded the three wounded - Chase and two guards. "Relax, sir. You're fine now. Stay with us. Keep talking to me. Tell me your name." They would proceed to try assessing his wounds, as well as the condition of the guards.

Rhaetia looked up doe-eyed at Serah. "What's going on now? How bad is it out there?"

No response was given the paramedics as they checked his wounds.  The bullet piece through the left of his chest and exited roughly out his back, they would not be able to tell if it tore through his heart or not from a field glance.  He was bleeding heavily, although not as much as most with an injury such as his.  All Novalysian soldiers are injected with nano machines similar to those he administered to the guard, designed to help prevent bleed out when in battle with the natural inhabitants however, different in the fact that the ones Chase had been given were much less efficient.  



Serah looked back at Rhaetia grimly, not wanting to hurt her with the details of what happened in the lobby but also knowing she couldn't keep it from her.  

"Shots were fired," she began.  "three are dead, one guard and two Eosa.  Two other guards are fighting to survive...as well as Alexander who was caught in the crossfire."

Rhaetia's expression dropped. Dead. The word seemed to hit her hard. "This isn't what anyone wanted..."

"Prepare med-evac to the ER," one of the paramedics ordered. "There's nothing more we can do for them here."

The O.M.N.E lead scientist nodded "No no one wanted this but, sadly, as the cascadian touched on, any group oppressed like the Eosa have been will resort to...well...drastic measures. Just one more reason to try and help the Eosa, after this whole debacle there may need to be some smoothing over of the situation, but my position hasn't changed and neither has O.M.N.E's, these people were just desperate, and they need help, and i think we can give it to them."

A detachment of soldiers made their way down the hallway to evacuate the citizens and foreign representatives. Another squad followed behind, searching every room as they went, to check for hostiles. Several bomb-sniffing dog teams were deployed throughout the University. Two large military armored trucks pulled up to the front entrance, unloading with soldiers and other first responders to the scene. A hover assault craft patrolled the outside perimeter. They were given the all-clear.

"Everyone is safe now," one of the soldiers announced in the conference room. "Come with us."

Jordan nodded "Alright, that sounds good, after all this excitement, I am ready to go home to the O.M.N.E station and my lab. I'm a scientist after all, I'm not very used to gun fights" he smiled and chuckled and him and his people got up and walked over to the soldiers.
