The ADR sniper team adjusted their position to a building on the outskirts of the town. They couldn't get a clear shot, but covered the escape route with a prepared shot. The other team waited; there were enough units on the ground already, and they didn't want to jeopardize the situation any more by raising the chances of being detected. They stood out of sight and at the ready.

The two that took the high positions moved slightly seeking a better vantage point to try and get a shot off, while the ground team continued a quiet stealthy pursuit, when they got near the hostiles they would take up positions to take them down when the orders were given.

Spears closed the distance between the alley as the woman was drawn back into the dark crevice between the building by the rebel.  He turned away from the alley entrance and spear into the narrow street to hastily escape the main view of the surrounding patrols, still unaware of the ongoing search for his whereabouts. He draws the woman up by his side, slightly in front of him so he can push her forward. His right hand still holding the weapon at his side, readied for if she tried to make another break for it.

:: Reiji waited for the pair to begin moving back into the alley hiding behind dumpster or other alley refuse, using shadows to aid his suits active camo in blending in. He waited until the dou was just passing his location, their turning around would put him on the mans right with clear line of sight on the weapon, as the armed man passed Reiji acted. shooting his hand out of the shadows ahead of his lunge grasping the wrist of the right hand and tightening his grip as hard as the armor and himself are able and quickly moves to snap it backward in opposition to how it naturaly moves, just before the rest of his body makes contact shoulder first::

He continued through the narrow alley until his arm is jarred backward by force, Reiji had caught hold of his arm as intended and pulled it backward as he was slammed into the wall. A deafening clang of metal rang out as his shoulder and chest smashed against the sheetmetal building. His wrist barely budged against the grip of the Cascadian as he wrestled to break the gun away from him, still holding the hostage with his left hand.

"Contact," the ADR spotter quietly radio'ed over to inform the others. The sniper was still covering the escape route from the alley, but barely had a visual on the movement - not enough to neutralize the rebel at this angle without endangering Reiji and the hostage. It was too much of a risk.

:: the grip wasn't going anywhere the metal tips of the armored fingers were dug firmly into the joint aiming to pinch nerve or jam between servo's, the blue glowing eyes of the cascadian armor showed no emotion what so ever of the wearer, not that Reiji currently showed any, the voice that came from the armors voice module was cold and almost fluidly metallic:: Let the hostage go, drop the weapon, and cease resistance and you wont be harmed. The gun crashed against the road as the metal barred gloves drove between the metal joint of his augmented arm. He knew he had no bargain with the hostage, however pinned against the wall he had no chance of using it. His grip wavered on the hostage's arm briefly before he released her, the woman darting away from her captor instantly and bolting down the street as Spears turned the corner. Spears immediately called one of her soldiers forward to check over the hostage however she was not willing to cooperate, fearing that he too was one of the rebels who attacked the settlement. Looking at her now, the hostage looked old and haggered, her knees and hands scuffed and bloody from a recent fall.

Gun drawn he saw spears walking decisively toward the alley, calling forward another squad member. The Cascadian might keep his work, he thought, but after what I've done my people will kill me. He grimaced in pain as he jolted his left arm toward the Cascadian's ribcage. He slammed his whole body backward, jamming his elbow painfully against the gauntlets grip trying to force the man back into the wall behind him, or into the dumpster by which the cascadian had hidden himself. Anything to break free from his grasp before the other Novalysians made their way down the alley.

:: Reiji moved back alittle from the novalysians augmented strength:: I gave you a chance, too bad you didn't take it :: reiji almost calmly placed his stretched open hand finger tips first on the Rebels diaphram and almost faster than the eye could follow his hand collapsed into a fist striking the rebels chest with tremendous force directed on the diaphram::

The rebel choked from the impact, falling to his knees as blood dripped loosely from his mouth. His body winced in pain as he rose to his feet again.

"A Novalysian never kneels," he choked as he glared back at Reiji, black shoulder length hair damp with sweat, face scarred from the ear to corner of his mouth another over his eye. Bruising swallowed part of his neck. "You're a fool if you think they will let me live. A rebel at Akrai and a novalysian traitor...you haven't seen what they do to people like me." A slight clinking sound resounded just as Spears approached.

Spears' approached with gun trained on the wincing terrorist when her eyes shot open, the hissing of a pressure released shrilly rang out in the alley way. She raised her weapon instantly to his head with teeth bared.

"You son of a bitch....." she said as she watched his hands raised into the air, his left holding a grenade with safety already disabled.

The Two O.M.N.E long ranged snipers had been moving and finding the best vantage point of the action and had both taken up position, ready to fire whenever ordered. The rest of the O.M.N.E personnel took up hidden positions to move in if needed. The only O.M.N.E that could truly make a difference right now are the snipers, and the rest of the securion knew it, so they would wait and watch.

:: Reiji's arm held the augmented arm as low as he could, the grip tightening on any servo's or hydraulics in the wrist joint::

The snipers looked at eachother and sighed both getting ready to aim and who ever had the shot would take it "We won't let you down sir, we are ready when you are." Fingers on the triggers, they waited, and focussed.

:: the armor on the right heel of the cascadian armor would have several small slits open::
:: reiji let out a soft breath, and completly calmly said in hushed voice:: "Purge power core"

:: as he said it using the extra leverage afforded him by the novalysian's augmented arm he snapped himself back ward and inverse, while he snapped his right leg up in a flipping snap kick, the slits on the right heel venting a huge ammount of pressure and blue palsma throwing an extra 3-4 times reiji's body weight behind the kick aiming to kick the grenade out of the rebels hand and hurtling into the air, and dislocating reiji's right hip in the process::

The grenade exploded shortly after impact, shredding the rebels hand and splintering shrapnel across the alley. Pieces tattered Spears' rifle and shattered her face mask, splattering blood across the remnants of the reflective material.  She was hurled backwards and knocked to the ground as the rebel fell to his knees, a shard of the grenade piercing his throat and blood pouring endlessly from the wound.

"We have impact!" the ADR spotter reported immediately. Holloway took point for the Aardonyx squad and they moved in closer, ready to swoop in and evac the wounded at a moment's notice. They held just far back enough to avoid any other impending explosions.

:: the grenade would have traveled roughly 462 feet into air before it detonated, as the shrapnel began to travel outward the pressure energy wave would hit the shrapnel and some of the smaller pieces would be completely deflected the rest would be dramatically slowed and misdirected abit:: After the rain of shrapnell subsided, Reiji retracted his helmet as he pulled himself and his limp leg over to the rebel to clamp his hand firmly on the neck wound hoping the heat of the energy discharge would cauterize the wound enough to keep him alive:: SPEARS SOUND OFF, WHATS YOUR STATUS

The O.m.n.e snipers saw the explosion and one of them called out what happened to the other O.M.N.E forces who waited for the explosion and shrapnel to run it's course before rushing in to give any aid they could and help get the wounded out of there.

Pieces of shrapnel pelted the alley below and anything within its range. Upon explosion the soldier aiding the victim swung himself in front of the woman as debris and shrapnel tattered his armor. At the mouth of the alley it wasn't enough to pierce through, but i it had struck her it still could have been deadly.

Spears dropped, shrapnel shattering his visor and spraying fragments of the reflective glass-like material into her eyes. She rolled off her back to her knees and stumbled to get up only seconds after she was hit. She turned back to the rebel as Reiji tried to save his life, gripping her rifle tightly against her shoulder and aiming through bloody eyes at the rebels head. Briefly she looked as she would have fired, ending his life where he was, but instead she crouched beside Reiji and laid the gun aside. Drawing a injection vial from her vest, she forcefully pushed into into his neck only inches from the wound. Immediately after the casing was pushed away from the series of needles the fluid rushed into his body.

"Target immobilized, move in," she said looking at Reiji. "Are all Cascadians so damned reckless?"

Despite being cauterized, he would likely still be bleeding internally from the deep puncture and he was. The nano machines flushed through the blood vessels within seconds, binding themselves to the torn and damaged lining of the veins and arteries. The linkages increased as time passed by, creating a nano mesh that prevented the bleeding from continuing.

:: reiji's armor began collapsing back into itself till it wsa fully stowed back in its sleek almost skin tight back unit, leaving his leather(ish) looking body suit his only protection:: Had to do somthing, based on his facial features and motions and especialy his eye movements when you approached, his bluff almost immediatly turned to a reserved suicide. Just what would you have done to him that caused that ammount of fear.It also appears that their hardware isn't simply stolen and pilfered novalysian surplus, that was a current tech impact fragmentation grenade. :: reiji spoke very matter of factly and seemed to not have noticed that his right leg was laying very awkwardly and not exactly pointing the correct dirrection, though there was no bleeding visibly seeping out of the pants:: the cauterizing and your nano mesh should keep him stable, the hostage? how is she

H.4.X approached the two quickly and kneeled next to them "Well that went well." He said rather sarcastically then, very seriously "The was an Impact grenade how exactly did he get his hands on that?"

The squad from Aardonyx moved in and secured the area surrounding the wounded, keeping weapons raised and ready in case of any other unexpected surprises.

"Call in a med team and get them off the streets," Holloway suggested briskly as he tried to assess the situation. "Spears, can you see?"

The Ghost Company Sergeant John Steele was seeing to the care of the hostage.  He treated her wounds, all minor scrapes or cuts, and had her talk him through what had happened.  She was old, she said, that's what kept her from reaching the evacuation ship during the attack.  She and several others hide in the warehouses until they thought it was safe.  However, when she left the stock house for a food and supply grocery a man grabbed her from an alley.   John filled in the rest of the story, piecing together from her scared fragments that it was a crime of opportunity.  The rebel must have known it was a matter of time until he was found and taking a hostage would slow him down, but increase his chances of getting out of an altercation with the soldiers surrounding the settlement.

Spears looked to H.4.X and Holloway briefly, nodding before turning back to the unconscious rebel.  She grabbed from the chain around his neck, pulling it from beneath his shirt.  The small ring attached listed his ID Number and enlistment type :TRIBUTE.  

"He didn't have to get his hands on the equipment, he had access to it all along," she said, taking notice of Reiji's leg.  "Goddamn it. Get a medic over here!"
