Covert Investigation on Kytreon

Thorne steps back from the the table and focuses on the screen before him. He glances over the rest of the individuals expectantly before he spoke again.

"If there are no further questions or concerns the transport is ready to begin the landing process. Exit this room and the guards will show you back to the docking hall where your teams are waiting. Get geared up and ready to deploy as quickly as possible, the longer the transport stays on the ground the more vulnerable we are to attack." With that Axon motioned with an open hand toward the door, his discomfort with dealing with foreigners was evident as he forced himself not to give orders but rather allow them to work under their own guidance.

H.4.X and his team had been listening intently to the conversation, not having very much to add. They would be a very supplementary group for the overall investigation, able to help other groups when they needed it mostly and if it ever came down to fighting the rebels, the Securion force would be an incredibly valuable group of people to have in the fight. H.4.X and his team would go where they were instructed to following their directions to the letter, though taking orders from Novalysians again made H.4.X's skin crawl, there were reasons he left and he could barely believe he had come back.

As the others left the room and prepared their gear the craft began its descent to the planet's surface. A warning resounded across the ship as they approached the atmosphere, later the ship shook as it entered into the planet. The loading ramp began to open as jets lowered the transporter safety and gently to the ground. From the hall they would two several Vanguards awaiting their arrival, one soldier in deep red and black armor standing in front of the rest. The red soldier made no attempt at moving forward to assist the foreign teams unload the transport but rather stood firmly on the ground before them. The Vanguard from within the ship began moving equipment out and loading it onto the trucks outside, the unmarked boxes gave no clues as to the contents.

As the foreign teams stepped out into the ground they could see vast plains with sparse trees and woods before them, much different than the ultra modernness of Skyyre and the dry heat of the outskirt settlements of Novalyse itself. As they turned they would see a woods close by, and at one-hundred and eighty degrees behind the transport stood the remains of Akrai just on the horizon. Thorne stepped off the transport, approaching the red soldier and talking briefly between themselves. Their hushed voices made it difficult to understand for the others a short distance away.

"Spears, I trust you won't give the foreigners trouble? Besides, they've sent one of our own, ex-Echo Company James Mason." Thorne spoke firmly in his hushed tone.

"With all due respect sir, I can handle the investigation with my own team. Why did you send for these welps?" a gruff female's voice replied curtly

"I've explained already, I do not think that you are incapable its that I am trying to avoid of galactic war that will disrupt this entire operation. The O.M.N.E Corp was adamant and about to send a fully armed ship to our borders....if you want any hope of finding out what happened here I had to quell them."

"As long as they don't get in my way then fine, I'll deal with them. But I am not putting my life on the line for some want-to-be mega corp space cops, organic hippies, dinosaur fucking hypocrites."

"Spears, that's enough. You have your orders, carry them out without question." Thorne said sharply, still very hushed in volume.

"Tch. Yes sir, as you wish sir." Spears growled.

Thorne went on to explain what had been discussed during the briefing as the transport traveled from the border to Kytreon. Spears reluctantly accepted his command before he walked away, stepping back onto the loading ramp of the transport.

"Is everything ready for launch?"

"Yes sir, general sir!"

"Do you have everything you need from the ship?" he would then ask the ops before giving the clear to depart.

"Yes, sir. We're ready," Zeryth responded on behalf of the ADR. Their team seemed to be a good mix of intellectual-looking investigators with a few security personnel thrown in for good measure. Detective Sakada converged with his team of skilled investigators, with Zeryth and Holloway overseeing the rest of the ADR units. Zeryth noticed the conversation between Thorne and the other apparently high-ranking soldier, but didn't intervene or try to eavesdrop. She made sure all their supplies were unloaded safely.

From the moment he came into sight of the planet, Sakada was all eyes and ears. He hardly said a word, but anyone who paid attention could see the seasoned detective scanning every inch he could see and every wavelength he could hear. He had been working these sorts of jobs for so long that it was automatic - he was hawk-eyed and totally focused, like a hunting dog on the scent.

Meanwhile, Holloway fussed at his troops to finish unloading all of the investigators' equipment. He scanned the horizon, looking back at the city of Akrai and taking a moment to appreciate what had transpired there not so very long ago. Musta been one hell of a gunfight, he thought to himself with a gruff look on his chiseled face, let's hope those damn rebels will give us another one before we stomp 'em.

As the team from OMNE loaded off with the others they were not unaware they would be disliked by the Novalysians, they didnt care much either. They had their job, and they were to complete it. Find the rebels, stomp out the rebellion, and retrieve and OMNE materials and cargo. Though none of that matter to H.4.X.

He looked around at the landscape and sighed thinking to himself "One shot at their leader's head...please just give me one shot. Innocent people died here for something they had nothing to do with..." He shook his head and refocussed on the mission at hand.

:; Sei would begin off loading their few cascadium cases while Reiji simply walked off and cased the perimeter of the camp slowly and methodically

With no other responses from the others Axon nodded to one of the soldiers inside the hall before turning back to those on the ground.

"There are cyberless telecoms in with your equipment, placed there during inspection. They are automatically programmed with my personal telecom as well as Major Spears'. If you have any concerns press the censor on the side of the device. Mason, you'll have to upload Spears' com to your implant...assuming you still have it."

H.4.X nodded "Yea i still have it, why wouldn't I?" He chuckled very slightly, obviously just trying to sound less disenchanted with his situation.

13 looked at H.4.X "So is this Spears person our babysitter?"

H.4.X nodded "I'm assuming so, but don't let them hear you say that."

"The best of luck....you'll need it." Axon said before motioning to the crew to take off. He stood in the ramp as the jets began to push the carrier from the ground, the tall grass swaying violently as the displaced air swirled about beneath the spacecraft. Thorne looked down at Akrai as the craft turned about and scanned the horizon from above when he noticed something shift between the buildings. "...I don't have troops stationed there..."

Spears stepped forward to reluctantly greet the newcomers to the investigation, removing her helmet which let her medium length red hair fall down to her shoulders. She briefly took count of the extra lives forced under her care and looked for those who seemed to be in some kind of leadership position.

"My name is Morgan Spears, Ghost Company Major. Seems we are stuck with one another until this incident is resolved. Do me a favor and don't get yourselves killed and we're good. Got it?" she said bluntly before looking away from the group.... "This is Major Spears......General........Yes sir." she turns back to the group. "Seems the interrogation will have to wait, the general's spotted something suspicious in Akrai. Get ready to move out."

H.4.X was about to respond and say something equally as snarky to the woman when she turned around and then said that. He immediately turned to his men and barked orders for them to get ready for anything.

"Something suspicious was spotted in Akrai, suit up and get ready for anything. Dying is not one of your options. Securion does not pay dead men, and I plan to get paid and I assume the rest of you do too." They all chuckled slightly after getting suited up of course, these men were all paid professionals, some of the best O.M.N.E had.

:: Sei would put their 2 cases of supplies down:: You can call me Sei, My partner walking the perimeter is Reiji. Did your general make anything out discerning about the visual in akrai?

::reiji Walked over his full cascadium armor flowing into place:: Less talk Sei. its either a target or a survivor either way not much time to lollygag here. We should move out in teams from different directions make sure we dont miss it. Did Axon give an approx location?

Holloway swung his assault rifle from off his back and clicked the safety off as the gleaming silver stock glinted in the sunlight. His smug attitude honed down quickly, and he got serious as he eyed his troops. "Aardonyx, on me," he grunted. Zeryth, Sakada, and their teams would stay behind for the moment, until the forward teams could get a visual.

"For those of you who are coming split up into three groups and those who aren't stay with the Vanguard. Suspicious movement sighted from the Northern streets of Akrai moving south east, verified as human identity unknown." she said as she fastened the her helmet down, unshouldering her rifle as she pulled back the bolt to verify it was loaded. The bolt slid back into place as she began to move toward the head of the group. "Move out, the more time we waste the less likely we are to locate the target."

Unit Aardonyx followed their orders precisely, and instantly followed the lead of Spears, Holloway, and the others to move in. Two of them swung to the side - a sniper and his spotter. The spotter pulled her binoculars and activated her tracking equipment, including visor-mounted motion sensors and infrared, to attempt to detect any movement or human activity although it may be difficult at this distance.

The O.M.N.E forces moved out rather quickly, making sure to not get ahead of spears or the Cascadians but they were never behind them. H.4.X didn't really care about proving anything about securion but he didn't want this Novalysian to think they were less capable than atleast the cascadians.

:: Sei stuck with the main group, while reiji caught up with spears, his seemless armor hiding any expression as he a holographic map sprang from his wrists instrument cluster their approach highlighted::
Reiji if your group continues northward at this course, and the ADR sniper team has that side covered, we can have the Securion take the opposite side I can flank around to the north and come in behind, No way to back track.

Spears silently agreed before reaching the outskirts of the settlement, splitting off into the groups and flanking the location of the sighted target. Each group would be faced with a maze of narrow streets leading through to the marked area of the map.

Footsteps resounded through the streets at the units closed in from all sides. It was only a matter of time before they found out he was here, he had known that from the beginning. He traced back into the narrow streets, the man in tattered unmarked armor fled desperately the next alley dragging with his a hostage. His next turn was his downfall, straight into a dead end with no option other than to release his only protection and attempt to climb over the metal wall or backtrack straight into the units that were hot on his tail. Choosing to stay put, hopefully they would bypass him and leave, he kept his hand over the young hostage's mouth trying to keep her silent.

The ADR spotter caught a visual of a heat signature moving through the alleys. No, two heat signatures. She clicked her comm unit, sending her transmission to all of the ADR troops on the ground. It was impossible for her to tell just exactly where they were due to the cover of buildings, but she called out where she last spotted them. The sniper couldn't get a shot from the distance, and began moving in to get onto a rooftop and get a better angle.

Holloway, with the rest of Aardonyx and the other colonies' troops in one group, wordlessly signalled in the direction that the spotter called out. He held up two fingers, indicating that it looked like two people moving closely together.

:: Once Spears agreed Reiji's Armor would take on vague shifting colors of the environment around him and he would take off to come in behind the target and ghost his movements, he tracked their movements in the ((if i remember correctly)) rather dusty desert like streets till the broadcast from the ADR spotter, he quickly scaled the nearest building and began to quietly race toward where the spotter said he lost visual, his voice fairly silent due to the suits throat mic:: This is Specialist Reiji, ADR spotter I am on the roofs coming in from the north tell me when I'm close to the area you saw the target, 2 people could mean either a hostage or 2 targets, If you see the target again, do NOT engage. I have nonlethal weaponry. Other teams, suggest closing in on general area and taking up above ground level vantage points, but do not engage. if theres a hostage spooking the target might ilicit him to cut and run and kill the hostage.

H.4.X nodded as he heard what Reiji suggested "Alright guys you heard the man, move in quickly and quietly do NOT engage. Take the high ground if available and stay sharp. Remember, do not engage until told to do so by me or one of the other ranking officers present." They moved in the direction they were told, and prepared to move farther in once they got good vantage points.

Spears closed in the escape from the other flank, raising her hand to signal her troops to stop as she slowly moved forward alone.  Pressed against the wall she inched closer to alleys where the ADR sniper had first sighted the heat signatures.  At the corner she pulled out a small angled mirror, holding it slightly out passed the building to try to sight the targets.  When the reflection showed nothing she waved some of the troops forward, two soldiers sprinting across to the building on the other side.

"Ghost Vanguard is in position to cut off any escape through our flank.  No visuals of the suspects."


The murmurs of a frantic, muffled woman were splintered with the hushed threats of the rebels as he drug her along behind him. He was garbed in battle scarred Kevlar reenforced armor with no identifying markings or insignias.  He rushed out of the dead end alleyway, trying to navigate the unfamiliar terrain of the settlement and avoid the sound of the oncoming troops meanwhile keeping his hostage quiet and cooperative.  The woman thrashed against his grip trying to free hand bound hands and run when further out into the streets when he drew his pistol and placed the barrel against her forehead.  She froze, half standing out in the open street looking down the barrel of his gun.  Shortly thereafter he beckoned her silently with a directional nod to follow him, an invitation she was not allowed to refuse.

The ADR spotter caught the separate heat signatures amidst the struggles, and as they paused - one in an alleyway, with what looked like an extended arm, and the other standing just past some of the buildings - she reported exactly what she saw to the units on the ground ahead of them. She read off their location and stated that it looked like one had a weapon drawn on the other.

:: through his hushed neck microphone, this is Reiji. I am on the roofs just down the street from that location request mission lead go ahead to advance and take the hostile down. I am moving forward into position and will give info upon visual
:: with that he'd use the roof tops as he had been to navigate as close as possible his armor bending and reflecting surounding colors as to skue his visage.

O.M.N.E would move forward quickly and quietly in pursuit, except for two of them which would take up higher positions moving to get visual and when they could, a shot at the rebel without harming the woman.

"Targets have been identified by ADR snipers as one captive, one hostile. Move in with caution and free the prisoner...I'll be damned if I'll let more civilian blood be shed on these grounds."Spears said as she turned the corner alone, leaving her men behind to provide cover.
