O.M.N.E Press Releases

This week the OMNE Corporation held a massive press conference, Richard could not be there due to the incredibly confidential business trip he had recently gone on. So instead William Simmons handled the announcements.

"Hello everyone and thank you very much for taking the time to be here. As we all know OMNE corporation does everything for our costumers, we give them entertainment, we give them food, we give them housing and clothes, everything you need. But at the center of our corporation, mining has always been our largest business, the export of precious minerals. Metals, Gems, stone for every purpose from building to sculpture. So, after years of hard work and research we are proud to present to you, the A.C.M.S Oronaka, the first ship of its kind. Asteroid Cracking and Mining Ship, named after the man who designed it Ishi Oronaka. O.M.N.E has never before even attempted to mine from asteroids and with these new ships and their smaller counterparts we will broaden our market by a huge degree."

For the next few hours he answered questions and showed the first images of an ACMS ship.

Most ADR citizens seemed to be rather indifferent to OMNE's new toy, although there seemed to be a small amount of social media feedback concerning the negative implications of literally cracking asteroids. What would it do to local ecosystems or, eventually, astrological systems and alignments as a whole?

The ADR government was much more intrigued by the new innovation, but they didn't let it show. For the time being, the R&D officials and economists simply watched for more information and results from the ACMS.

As time passed the data net stopped buzzing about the release of the ACMS ships, but O.M.N.E didn't feel like letting the fire burn out just yet. The released images of 10 foot tall robotic suit called the Juggernaught Mining Exo-Suit. It was made to be used in space on the asteroids, to help guide the asteroids into the cracking area beneath the ship and to help the flying drones gather and mine the minerals.

This new invention peaked the ADR military's interest. They wanted to get their hands on this for research, but they knew they couldn't just waltz in and ask for a copy of the blueprints. This would be something they would have to wait and play their cards right to see...they would have to watch closely, and they kept up their tabs on this new research with great interest.

The Novalysian government as well as its people weren't particularly interested in either of the inventions, although the Exo-suit seemed to be an innovation they simply could not see the benefit in shattering the surrounding asteroids for ore that may or may not exist.

Simmons once again stood in front of the O.M.N.E logo at a press release, this time under the O.M.N.E logo there was another name spinning in the graphic. Unlike the O.M.N.E logo it had red mixed in with the silver lettering and it spelled out Securion.

"Hello everyone, and thank you for taking your time to come here and tune in on Data Net. We have always known the galaxy is a place of uncertainty and though I'm sure all of us would prefer there would never be a need for weaponry, there still is. So O.M.NE Corporation has it's Securion division, now we aren't Novalyse or Cascadia, but Securion holds it's own in the sector's military. But upon seeing the recent developments across the sector, the turmoil and threats, it has caused us to realize some of us are sorely unprepared for an outbreak of violence. Independent stations more so than most. So today we would like to show case two of our newest innovations in the field of weaponry. The Multi-Particle Wave Cannon, and the Graviton Launcher."

Two video feeds popped up on the screen behind him, one showed the sleek M.P.W.C and the other showed the hulking and imposing Graviton Launcher.

"The M.P.W Cannon is made for bringing down energy shielding and shredding light armor. In more technical terms it is a battling cannon that fires barrages of bosons at it's target in the form of wave particles occupying the same quantum state. They collapse upon contact with energy shield and do significant damage, and can do the same against light armor, but are largely ineffective against heavy solid armors. The energy and particle ammunition comes from a only recently perfected version of a miniaturized particle accelerator device. It is small enough to be outfitted on fighters or land vehicles, but also can be optimized to be a true compliment to any orbital or station defensive system."

"We quickly realized though, that even if tho weapon is truly an innovation in the field, and is definitely a rather powerful weapon, we are lacking a weapon that can cover the M.P.W Cannon's weakness, heavy armor. This is where the Graviton Launcher comes into play. The Graviton Launcher was originally theorized at the beginning of O.M.N.E Corporation, the original designs coming from our founder himself. Of course they were refined and changed over the years, but this project has been going non stop since the inception of the company. It harnesses a particle that in Eli's years was only theoretical, called the Graviton. It gives gravity it's weight, in layman's terms. Simply out this cannon harnesses these particles in sealed charged containers and puts them through a rail gun like assembly, then fires them at the target. The gravitons, once charged and then impacted into the target, will explode with incredible force. Not doing much damage to small targets such as fighters or individual people, but could be crippling to larger targets such as heavy armor units and battle cruises in space combat."

Right before hands begn to fly up for questions he quickly added "Now of course, both of these take incredible time and resources to be made, as of right now we have oily manufactured 15 MPW Cannons and 15 Graviton Launchers. This makes up 3 orders of each, so right now that is all we are accepting. These will be rather expensive until we set up mass production in the factories being built on Eli for our expansion projects, but any one willing to give resources toward our expansions or those who have been long time trade partners will get a discount if they wish.

O.M.N.E Mining and Construction Division Heads, Keith Hall and Davis Bridges, appeared in a new commercial showing an array of vastly improved mining, construction, and general hard labor type vehicles and their repair drones. The new vehicles were made with stronger material to be able to work in harsher environments, but designed to be lighter so they could be transported easier than their current competitors. These were some of the best hard labor vehicles on the market today and for a limited time only they would go on sale of up to 25% off if they were ordered in bulk, and up to 15% off for smaller orders.
