Ashara's New Dawn

After being escorted out of the University, the citizens and foreign representatives would've been escorted to a military station to ensure their safety, and checked over for any injuries. They were told, of course, that they were free to leave any time. The ones who agreed to stay would be brought into questioning rooms. A detective of the Rescentan police force and an ADR security officer stayed in the room, and offered Ashara a chair.

"Thank you for agreeing to stay and help us find out what happened, Mr. Cyralis," the detective said. "Can I get you a drink? Something to eat? I know you've been through a lot. If there's anything we can do, please ask. Is there anything that you can think to add to what we already know happened in the University?"

No not really. We were in the conference room when it started. and I'm sure your camera's caught the actual incident in the lobby from beginning to end. So you likely know more than I do when all is told. I just know that this is what i was afraid would happen when i heard about the Eosa at the assembly. Any sentient being kept subjugated for long will fight for their freedom, and should fight for their freedom. I had hoped that this conference would give them enough hope to wait just abit longer. Though after seeing the news reports and the initial footage it sounded like they just wanted to speak their piece, not to attack anyone...how did it get so out of hand?

"We're not quite sure, Mr. Cyralis. We've been questioning the guards that were involved. It seems that Private O'Reilly, the first one that was killed, is the one that initially approached the Eosa. He may have...engaged them a bit prematurely. One of our security personnel claims that the Eosa felt threatened. It may have originally been an act of self-defense." The detective shook his head sadly.

The soldier scoffed, and seemed to have different ideas. "You can't tell me that they arranged to have the security systems locked down, and just casually stumbled in carrying knives without any intentions of causing any trouble. They had ulterior motives."

With all due respect soldier, would you enter a building with armed men with only knives? and based on the words i heard on the news saying that we need to see them we need to see what its really like, makes me think that infact that is all they wanted to do. Does anyone know if private O'Reilly had any prejudice agianst Eosa?

The soldier shook his head, about to say something when the detective spoke up first. "Actually, O'Reilly had one expunged report on his record. While he was off-duty, he got into a brawl with an Eos. Apparently...an Eos from the same activist group that shot up a lab on Reza." The detective tilted his head. "The lab where Mrs. O'Reilly was working on a biodiversity study."

"There are rights and wrongs on both sides," the soldier said. "What I'd like to know, Ashara, is what your opinions on the Eosa are right now. Seeing as how you just saw a little slice of what they're capable of."

I'm not sure you really do want to know, but i will tell you. I feel immensely sorry for them, that they've been so abused and pushed down that they feel breaking into a conference is the only way to be heard. That revolution is the only avenue left open to them. I feel that their rights need to be recognized immediately, because otherwise your going to have the next civil war in the Human history due to the same reasons we had the first one. And what their capable of right now is fighting for freedom, just like human kind has done time and again through out history. ALL of us are capable of good and evil. The real question is what do YOU think and what will the ADR do now

"I'm afraid I can't really answer that, Mr. Cyralis. The Eos will have to be tried for his crimes. And shooting that Novalysian certainly isn't doing them any good for their cause," the detective said thoughtfully. "Is there anything else that you can think to add to the details that we may have missed? Our understanding was that you were in the back of the conference room with the Eos called 'Rhaetia' and another Novalysian, Serah Lawson. Did you have any reason to believe that Rhaetia was involved in this conspiracy, in any way? Do you recall any particular details that stand out to you?"

I know she was deeply hurt that it happened, i believe that it was asmuch a surprise to her as it was to everyone else, she was quite terrified. Speaking of which where is Rhaetia now?

"No worries, Mr. Cyralis. She is safe." The detective seemed vague and continued fishing around for more information. "You're sure that you don't recall anything else? Nothing in particular about Professor Hawkins?"

I honestly cant remember which professor was which..... but there was one professor that seemed completly against the Eosa. :;described that professor:: Seemed like he wanted the whole rights discussion thrown out and to treat the Eos like mindless experiments or slaves

The detective nodded as he ate up the information and Ashara's description. "Yes, I do believe that'd be Professor Hawkins. Anything else come to mind about him? Perhaps anything that Rhaetia said or did?" He tapped his fingers against the table curiously.

:: got a slightly frustrated look about the continued questions about Rhaetia. Aside that he seemed very upset that she was even allowed to talk at the conference. And i know she's safe, or very much hope she is. I was hoping to get the chance to talk to her again

"She's quite safe, Mr. Cyralis, we're concerned about her safety and we're taking every precaution to see that she is very well-tended." The detective saw that Ashara was getting a bit frustrated, and since he had specific orders from General North to make sure that he did not give the foreign representatives any more reasons to dislike the ADR, he decided to let it go. "Well, Mr. Cyralis, I know that it's been a long and stressful day for you and I'm sure you want to be on your way. And I'd like to apologize again for what you went through, and thank you on behalf of the ADR for your brave actions today. I have no more questions for you, so...unless there's anything I can do for you...?"

Is there any way I could see Rhaetia? After the Attack I am wondering if there is actually more to be seen about the Eosa's plight. We were told that they are treated fine, but the actions today make me feel that this may not be 100% true.

The soldier and the detective exchanged glances after Ashara's request. They seemed to be unsure of what they should do. "Just a moment, Mr. Cyralis." The soldier clicked his comm unit on. "Detail for Cascadian rep Cyralis to damage command, this is Unit ZA73; Mr. Cyralis is requesting to see subject 'Rhaetia.' Authorize?" There was a brief pause. "Copy. Over." He turned back to Ashara. "You can see her for a few minutes. Sounds like she just got out of questioning." The soldier unlocked and opened the door, and gestured for Ashara to come with him to another room.

:: Followed the soldier, deciding not to question the time limit untill he already was with Rhaetia:: Is there a time frame that I need to be off world? or am I free to do as I please while I am here, I hadnt planned to leave right away

"You're free to stay if you'd like - you're are a welcome visitor and you were invited, after all. My suggestion would be though, that in the recent turn of events, that you be very careful. If you'd like, I could even assign you a security detail. I think that'd be the wisest thing."

He buzzed into the other questioning room, and then entered a security code. There was another guard standing outside, and two more inside. Another detective was just leaving, and he nodded as he headed down the hallway. The soldier gestured for Ashara to step inside. Rhaetia was inside, sitting at a questioning table with her head hung down. She still seemed a bit shocked, like she had been physically fatigued from the events of the shooting. She lifted her head up when someone walked in, and her eyes darted analytically across Ashara.

"You're the Cascadian. Ashara? Right?"

Yea.... don't you remember me? :: he looked at her eyes immediately suspicious of her demeanor:: Are you alright...... ::his eyes were already beginning to glow a brighter blue :: You said something before they took us to the separate rooms...what were saying?

"Yes. Yes, I remember you." She nodded vaguely. "I'm just still a bit...stunned at all of this, you know? I really didn't think that anyone else would get hurt. I was only trying to help. I should have told Professor Davis no when she asked me." She shook her head. "I'm glad that you didn't get hurt, Ashara. Who else? Was there anyone I know? They haven't told me anything in here yet." She glanced around briefly, and then fixed her eyes back onto Ashara.

:: gives her all the info that Ashara had received:: seems like it was planned by that professor. I was...worried, that they'd treat you badly...they were asking alot of questions about you. I was wondering if you could show me how the average Live here on Rescenta...if your allowed to

The soldiers in the room exchanged glances. Rhaetia spoke up before they got the chance to object.

"Professor Hawkins never liked us Eosa much. He was always rude and inconsiderate, but I never thought that you would do something so awful." She paused, grief-stricken. She seemed to lighten up a tiny bit at Ashara's question. "I would like to, yes. There's more to show than I can tell. Here..." She tore off a scrap of paper from a notepad in front of her and jotted something down. "My DataNumber. Call me when we're out of here and all of this is cleared up. Alright?" She offered a little smile.

::Ashara smiles:: Well they've cleared me to leave when ever i like and I am not being ordered to stay anywhere or to leave, So once they give you your all clear I'd be delighted :: gives her his datapad number as well:: let me know when your released, I'd love to see everything you can show me, and my offer for the Eosa is most definitely still open, if the vote here doesn't go well

"Thank you. I'm hoping that they'll let me go back to the dormitory soon. I think they've released everyone else from questioning, so I'm sure that I'll be on my way home soon."

The soldiers shuffled around impatiently. "If that's all, Mr. Cyralis, we'll go ahead and finish up here with Rhaetia and then send her on her way."

I'll wait outside, perhaps i could escort you to your dorm and talk more :: he'd stand with a smile and a bow tiwards Rhaetia and. Go wait outside

Long moments passed by slowly as guards posted in the hallway kept an eye on Ashara. It seemed like Rhaetia was kept inside for quite awhile longer than the others before, finally, the door clicked open. The guards, detectives, and Rhaetia then filed out.

"Would you like a police escort back home?"

"No, thank you. I'm fine," she responded.

"Alright - we'll be in touch, Rhaetia. Be careful."

Rhaetia waited for the officials to wander off to their next assignment, then approached Ashara. She still seemed a bit shaken and unsteady from the events of the shooting.

"Thank you for coming along with me. Are you ready? It's just a few minutes away."
