| Censors in the Crest Sector faintly picked up a distress signal, barely detectable even with the greatest technology, from in indeterminable distance outside the sector. Audio from the signal was faint, the words inaudible, but a human voice could be made out before being overtaken by crashing metal then static. There was no way of telling the ships idntity or what was happening, only that there was a ship in dire situation beckoning help from anywhere. | |

| Since all the Zeon ships had been stationary in the Cascadian system, repairs had been going on, so their long range communications and sensors were back online, and even with their incredibly powerful sensor systems they barely pinged the signal. They tried to get the location of the signal so they could send out a small party to see what happened and rescue any survivors. The party would consist of one larger transportation ship, and a squadron of about 15 fighters. | |

| ::Likewise a Cascadian expeditionary ship had picked up the faint signal and sent a recording and a Datamining analyses along to the CSCC for investigation.::
:: The CSCC would begin triangulation attempts aswell as sending a communique to Zeon askign if they had picked up the signal with their more powerful longrange comm sensors::

| Zeon quickly responded back with the following message:
The sensors on the Zeon capital ship picked up the very faint signal for long enough to get a very vague idea of where it was, a small group has been dispatched to investigate. It consists of a squadron of fifteen fighters, and one transport vessel, if you are sending anyone out we will have our team meet up with yours.

| The O.M.N.E sensors in the S.E.W.S ((Securion Early Warning System)) picked up the signal, but instead of sending someone out, made it known to the other colonies with a message. "Our sensors picked up a faint distress signal outside of crest, we wanted to coordinate with the other colonies to make sure it isn't a glitch in the system." | |

| :: the CSCC would respond to both in turn::
to Zeon- we have sent out a recon and rescue team aboard the Ptolemaios. It is a malidax class ship so should have room for your transport ship to enter its hangar bay, if the pilot is skilled, we have enclosed the coordinates for you to rendezvous. The Captain goes by the name Tieria Erde and will be expecting you.
to OMNE- Ourselves and Zeon have detected the distress signal and have a recon and rescue mission under way. We have enclosed contact information and coordinates of destination. Any other colonies wishing to join us please contact Captain Tieria Erde to be informed of plans and actions needed

| Novalyse picked up the signal as Cole returned to his office, immediately he reviewed the audio, inaudible and broken. He responded to the message from O.M.N.E as well as others briefly.
"Considering the more prominent threat of war and the lives at risk on Kytreon Novalyse has decided that all military resources be spent in the protection and ongoing prevention of further attacks on Khrysis as well as the ADR. I regret to say that I cannot spare any of my military to advance on the location of the distress signal."
The transmission ended just before he slammed the side of his hand into the wall of his office, bending the reenforced steel around his hand. "They want me to send my fleet chasing some distant echo when some bastard wants my son..." he trailed off as he looked out the window behind him.

The A.D.R made no formal response to the distress signal. It was unknown whether or not they had received the signal or would be investigating it at all.
[Deysha-II]
Likewise, Deysha's parliament made no official statement, but a government-sponsored team of long-distance search and rescue volunteers reported that they were mobilizing a small group of trackers and first-response trained citizens to aid in the investigation.

| Zeon responded quickly saying that their ships would be there shortly and would be ready to dock when they arrived, they shouldn't take very long at all.
((O.M.N.E, DONT WANT TO SWITCH ACCOUNTS))
After corresponding with other colonies they decided that a small vessel of only about 4 Securion operatives would be sent in. Their designations were N.3,. 3.B, I.K.R, and I.D.C.

| Zeon's fighter squadron and transport ship closed in on the Ptolemaios, and the squadron leader hailed the ship "This is Squadron Commander Maxwell, we were told to meet you at these coordinates and dock with your ship to coordinate our search efforts pertaining to the distress signal."

| As Zeon was docking they noticed the O.M.N.E cruiser as well and tried to make sure they left more than enough room for him to get in, though it would still be a rather tight squeeze. Maxwell got out of the fighter, leaving the flight helmet inside, his A.I was in the small circular watch like device on his wrist. It beeped and formed a small hologram in front of him, showing what appeared to be a purple male figure in his mid teens
"This would definitely be a good time to learn about Cascadian ships, should i record and take pictures?" This caused Maxwell to shake his head "You'd have to ask Captain Tieria, but I'd assume no Duo."
He waited for the rest of his men to get out of their ships and awaited instruction from their hosts onboard the Cascadian ship.

| The O.M.N.E ship docked and landed in the space the Zeon forces made for it, the four securion operatives walked over and joined the Zeon group introducing themselves and chatting until the Cascadians told them where to go, they were eager to get this all moving along. | |

The civilian first-response SAR team from Deysha-II arrived as well, having only two personnel shuttles and a small med-cruiser. They hung towards the back and quietly waited for the briefing from the other responders.

| The four Securion operatives looked towards the Cascadian and listened to what he had to say. The securion leader nodded "We nearly missed it but yes, we picked up. We couldn't make barely anything of it though."
((Zeon))
Zeon's Commander Maxwell "We picked it up around the same time as Cascadia, if our communications array was back to full power and completely repaired we would have been able to hear more of it, but as it stands we didn't hear anymore than anyone else."

"What options do we have, other than wait for another signal and hope we get a better snippet of it, or move in closer and send our own for a response?" The civilian team's leader, a slender, dark-skinned, and unremarkable-looking woman whose nameplate read 'Communications Officer Denaeya' spoke from the front of the Deyshian group.

| Captain Erde listened to everyone in turn and nodded:: The Ptolemaios is one of the CSCC's newer expeditionary vessels, Our sensors should be able to pick up increasing better quality signal the closer we get to its point of origin. The current plan is we will remain on our current heading using wide band sweeps and passive pings. Once we reach the nearest termination point for the signal we'll hold position and wait approximately 24 hours for a new signal. If we do not receive anything we'll decide the best course of action from that point. I am hesitant to send out a reply just yet until we have a more accurate read on the surrounding area. I've sent each groups Commanding officer quarters assignments and for lack of a better description an idiots guide to getting around aboard the Ptolemaios. Turbolifts, mess hall, lounge, bridge, astrometrics, and communications and the RnR block are all shown. We'll keep everyone informed as we get closer. | |

"We're with you, Captain," Denaeya answered. "What's our ETA to the termination point?"

| "No sir, we're ready." The Deyshian team certainly wasn't military or even para-military, but they seemed to be efficient enough for the task at hand. They were ready to keep moving and get to the bottom of this distress signal. | |

| ((Distress Call))
The signal remained broken, incomprehensible as the ships drew closer to the point of origin.
"Help...-" the voice could finally be made out over sections of the audio. "Under fire by....-static- Echo Legionnaires...-static- civilian casualties...." The message played over again, set to s loop that started over every few minutes. As the ships followed the signal they would come to what looked like a dense asteroid field, the signal sourcing directly in the center of the dangerous spacial terrain.
