Meeting Zeon

Zeon's ships reamined in cascadian space, they awaited the arrival of the foreign delegates with anticipation and anxiety, worried if they would be accepted or thrown out of the system. Never the less, their Capital ship Zeon was ready and waiting, their people prepared and the ships were buzzing with activity. Shuttles going between the ships bringing people too and from and fighters running test exercises maneuvering in ways most would considering impossible, almost like it was a show they were practicing for. Like it was an art for these pilots.

Zeth Johnson, the representative of the ADR, was slicked up in a distinctly ADR-styled suit, very conservative with clean-cut lines and a minimal hint of a more futuristic edge. He and his small party of security, ADR media, and delegates would board one of the shuttles to be brought to the designated meeting area. He paused, somewhat spellbound by watching the fighter pilots running their excercises in the distance, and stopped his entire ambassadorial delegation by one of the ship's windows for a moment, set his briefcase down beside him, and watched to admire their prowess. He thought perhaps they might be remotely piloted or UAV's, but he guessed that they must actually be real.

"I've never seen anything like that," he said aside to one of his security personnel.

"It is rather impressive, sir," the guard said dryly.

"Hm. No mistake that they're running maneuvers while the ambassadors show up," one of the PR people noted. He and his crew exchanged glances before he picked up his briefcase and continued heading towards the meeting area.

One of the fighter groups veered a bit closer and contacted the ship "We have been ordered to escort the foreign delegates to the Capital Ship of Zeon to meet with the Charr Council speaker Ricardo Fellini. Which colony do you represent?" The pilot sounded gruff but not unwelcoming, just like he had a job to do.

"The A.D.R. The Allied Demarchy of Reza. My name is Zeth Johnson," he answered politely. "Thank you for having us. We're looking forward to meeting with your speakers."

The pilot responded quickly "Alright then, welcome to Zeon Zeth Johnson. We will escort you to the hangar bay, once you are out one of the Council of Charr will meet you. They are our leaders so he will be one of the few people there dressed up" He chuckled a bit as he signed off. The squadron veered slightly, directing the ADR ship which way it needed to go.

:: A Cascadian transport ship would leave from the Cascadian Defense fleet that had been mobilized around Zeon's fleet, as much for Zeon's protection as protection from them.

Another squad of fighters would quickly form around the cascadian transport ship and contact it "Delegates of Cascadia, please follow us to the hangar bay that has been designated for foreign arrivals."

:: the ships pilot would comply and enroute converse with the Zeon squadron:: " Your maneuvers are impressive, you should your commanders contact the CSCC and set up a training skirmish or a cross training squadron would be interesting to see.

When the time came Alexander Chase prepared, quite to the dismay of his colony, to attend the meeting of Zeon personally. His wounds were not fully healed but he was at least cleared for travel and therefore, chose not to take the medical leave that was offered him for this event. He wore a black Novalysian suit, similar in style to dress uniform without medals or other adornments. Alongside him in the carrier was Serah Lawson, Jericho Matheson, as well as one armed Vanguard Soldier acting as personal escort.

Jericho watched the fighters perform with a irritated look on his face, looking back to Chase who acknowledged him only with a glance before looking away. Matheson continued watching only for a moment before turning his attention to Serah who sat neatly in a formal white shirt and black skirt.

"You're dressed for the occasion Ms, Lawson," he said as his expression softened.

"Thank you..." the uncertainty was clear in her tone.

"It was a compliment. I suppose 'your clothes look nice' would have sufficed."

"Thank you for clarifying and for the compliment. What brings you to meet Zeon?"

"Curiosity. They were dishearteningly arrogant in transmission; I am here to see exactly who they are in person." Jericho said, glancing back to the fighters dancing outside the windows of the transport. The conversation did not go unnoticed by the Overseer who quietly listened to the exchange between the two.

The transport arrived in Cascadian/Zeon space quickly, sending word that they had arrived for security procedures.

The fighter pilot chuckled and responded to the Cascadian "Would be very interesting to see, I'll forward the suggestion to the my commanding officer." They would bring the Cascadian delegates into the same hangar as the ADR.

The Novalysians would get a response before the fighters come up along side them "This is Ambros, flight leader of the Red Comet squadron, please follow us into the hangar bay set aside for the foreign delegates." When the ship got the message, then the fighters came along side it.

The pilot followed the orders and followed the fighters into the docking bay where Chase as well as the others could exits for security clearances. As with all foreign affairs, Chase and Serah both had their tele-coms disabled, Chase having several other military implants removed before leaving the ship and walking slowly into the bay, leaning heavily on his cane.

Jericho however, could not remove the majority of his implants as he has had surgical repair done to over fifty percent of his body. His cybernetic left arm, right leg, as well as right shoulder and three quarters of his neck would easily show up on any sort of metal or body scan. Despite his greater quantity of augmentations, if checked above the ear as security could easily see the port where he had removed his telecom for the gathering.

Ambros went through all the security checks with them personally and once they were done he looked around and said "If all foreign dignitaries are present, follow me please. The rep from O.M.N.E Corp arrived a bit early and is waiting for you all in the main hall."

Zeth politely nodded to the other foreign dignitaries. His face was not quite as well-known as Kenji Wright's or his boss Clarity Davis', but nonetheless, anyone who had brushed up on ADR politics would recognize him. The conservative, mild-mannered, clean-cut guy, still fresh from his election to Senate spokesperson after overseeing a number of lucrative positions that he landed straight out of law school at the UOR. He was still young - smart, but young. He closely noted Chase's cane, wondering if that was the same one that he had with him that day at the University, but he averted his gaze quickly so as not to offend.

"It's good to see all of you," he offered politely to the others.

:: Councilman Hanzo greeted the other dignitaries and took his place::: Pleased to see all of you here.

Some fat man in a suit hurried in, two attendants hustling alongside of him.

"I'm sorry," he huffed breathlessly, "I'm late. There was an huff airspace jam in Canaan," he explained through snorted breaths. "I'm Ministry Advisor huff Wilhelm Detsil. Of Deysha-II. Mr. Carros Deyn huff wanted me to tell you that huff he is on his way. He had to huff stop and use the huff restroom..."

Ambros gave the huffing man a half smile and nodded "I will have some of my men escort him to the main hall when he is done, we should get a move on. Three of the people you are meeting are very busy but demanded they be the first three people that you meet besides me and Charr Fellini."

Jericho didn't bother to force a smile when Ambros approached them, canting his head only once to the others while Chase respectfully nodded at each of the representatives.  Matheson looked around the room briefly, taking mental note of which individuals were possible threats and which would be considered Civs in the event that something should happen.  Chase noticed Zeth's brief fixation on his cane, noting that he remembered the weapon used during the UOR shooting.  As Ambros addressed the latest arrival Jericho's expression hardened, Chase remaining almost entirely neutral although he did note the impatience of the Zeon delegate.  

"Don't be hasty, wouldn't want to give your guests the impression that you're much to busy to be bothered with their visit." Jericho stated in a steady, controlled tone as he looked from the obviously tired man to Ambros.  He smiled briefly at Ambros before returning his gaze to the surroundings, pausing shortly as he looked over where Serah was standing.

Ambros smiled and nodded "I'm very sorry if i seem like i am rushing you. It's just i was taken off of training exercises to do this, and even though i am greatly honored to be given this task, as a recently appointed officer I feel like i should be getting as much training as possible." He chuckled a bit "We can wait if everyone would like."

Zeth Johnson was intrigued by the exchange, and noted that maybe these Zeonites weren't very used to hosting delegates. He had nothing to say, but simply followed the pace of the others. He was in no rush.

"You have a good sense of duty son, but you have to consider what appearance would be given to all colonies if you left a late representative behind." Jericho said in the same unwavering tone.  He looked from Ambros back to the huffing man. "Appearances can be deceiving, this man may be your only chance at colonization here."

Chase made no gesture of support or disapproval of Jericho's actions, but simply watched the exchange between the two soldiers and reading the reactions of the other delegates. Serah, however was not so withdrawn. She smiled as she began to express support for Jericho's advice to the soldier.

"I agree entirely with Matheson on this matter. I for one would not think kindly if I were to be left behind, no matter the reasoning."

Ambros smiled humbly and nodded "Of course, my apologies again. We will wait for Mr.Carros Deyn as long as he needs." He smiled at Serah, seeing her as the more sociable one and said "I've read quite a bit about Novalyse on datanet since I arrived, your cybernetics tech sounds incredible."

Wilhelm Detsil fidgeted rather nervously, apparently a bit anxious at the tension that he unwittingly caused amongst the varied representatives. He adjusted his glasses a few times.

Carros Deyn rather unceremoniously emerged from the nearest men's room, quite unaware - perhaps purposefully - of the others. He strode up, casually glancing at the interior of the ship around him, and then came up to Detsil's side as the poor man was practically quivering with anxiety. With a confident clap on his fellow Deyshian's shoulder, Carros turned his gaze to the others in attendance and nodded.

"Nice day for an important meeting, isn't it," Deyn said without any puff or glamour to all of the others. "Do you have coffee here?" His attention turned to Ambros.

Ambros smiled and chuckled slightly "There will be refreshments in the main hall, and now that we are all present we can go there now. If you have any questions you can ask them now and if i can answer them I will, if not i will make sure Charr Fellini does so."

Prior to the appearance of Deyn Serah smiled at Ambros and began to reply.

"Our cybernetics seem to interest most other colonies, despite the fact that their development has received quite a bit of stigma those who condemned them still wish to partake in the results," she said plainly. "Augmentation is one of our colonies forefronts in the technological world. - Hello Deyn." she said, sidetracked from her thoughts by his arrival.

Jericho watched Ambros closely,this kid ain't hardly old enough to have facial hair, let alone be an officer. What were his superiors thinking... he thought to himself as Serah begin speaking with him. His narrowed only slightly but otherwise his demeanor remained stable. Chase canted his head to Deyn once he approached.

"You look to be in good health Deyn, still covering for Paras I see," Chase said indifferently.
