Reza is a demarchy, which means that its policy-makers are routinely elected (in a similar manner to a jury) and regularly cycled through. There is a simple but effective system of checks-and-balances and selections in place to ensure that the colony is governed as fairly as possible. It has very few permanent positions of authority, most of which are found in the Senate, however there are a number of influential figures. Reza's government structure aims to be conservative and exert little control over its people.
The politics of Reza, however, are a different story entirely. There are no political parties - however, there are a few powerful committees or research conglomerates that are vying for dominance. They only hold formal power within the government when they are exceptionally powerful, but nonetheless, even the smallest groups often work to make their perspectives and agendas more widely accepted by the public.
Kenji Wright, a 56 year old man of Asian-Earthian descent, is the current Head of Senate. He oversees and guides the agenda of the Senate as a whole, but is not allowed voting power. He is a strict and morally guided man who grew up true to ADR ideals - he studied vigorously, graduated top of his class in Legislative Administration Management at ADRA, and worked his way up through the rungs of the Rezaian government until he was elected as the Head of Senate. He has served three terms of two years each, and is widely appreciated by the public that he serves. Wright is accused of sometimes being too conservative, but by and large, he has a history of making good, solid decisions on what's best for the ADR.
Clarity Davis, a well-known sociologist, is the current Senate Representative. She is famous within the ADR and some other colonies for her influential research on political systems and how they affect individuals. She has an accomplished background filled with academic and political accolades, not least of which include her position as Professor of the University of Rescenta, Head Researcher of the UOR's Sociology and Political Science Committee, and three-time elected Chief Advisor of the Legislative Advisory Committee. Despite being a political powerhouse, Clarity Davis is modest and keeps a low profile. "I don't care whether people recognize me," she often says, "I only care whether my work has a good impact."

POPULATION / DEMOGRAPHICS:
The population of A.D.R is mostly comprised of those born from the descendants of the original U.S. colony. This demographic features a relatively high percentage of Asian-American and Caucasian-American bloodlines. Other populations include non-A.D.R-born residents, who are often immigrants from other colonies or have descended from other ethnicities than the U.S. colony.
The most notable and by far the fastest-growing population is the Eosa. For more information on their origin and culture, see the Eosa section below.
The majority of the ADR's population is based on Rescenta, due to their regulations and limitations on human interaction on the planet Reza. The iconically domed Moon-Station at Rescenta is the capitol city, with a population of about 500,000. Other cities and settlements on Rescenta are varied, totaling a population of about 100,000. The ADR's remaining 300,000 people live across the planet Reza and in a few orbiting space stations.

AREA / GEOGRAPHY:
The A.D.R is located in the Echo system, primarily spread out between the planet of Renascus-Zeta I, or Reza, and its moon Rescenta. They also have several small to medium-sized orbiting space stations.
The planet Reza is one of the most biologically diverse planets known to humankind. It was discovered by NASA in 2120, and colonized several years later by the research team that would later become the A.D.R. It is roughly the same size as Earth and has many similar environmental conditions, including breathable air, a life-sustaining atmosphere, water, and fully functioning ecosystems. It was first described as being "almost like a snapshot of prehistoric Earth, with hundreds of thousands of unique species that seemed to parallel the level of evolution found in Earth's Mesozoic and Cenozoic periods." Great care has been taken not to disrupt the ecosystem of the planet, and to let it evolve as natural as possible while under the watchful and observant eyes of the A.D.R scientists and researchers.
The moon Rescenta is slightly larger than the Earth's moon, and with slightly more hospitable conditions. Although the air is not breathable, the gravity of Rescenta is similar to Earth because of its larger size. The land is also more flat and has fewer craters, and the atmosphere is slightly more self-contained and rich in oxygen.

RESEARCH:
Research is mostly governed by the independent research committees, which are in turn supervised by the ADRA - or, the Allied Demarchy of Reza's Academy (also known simply as the Academy). The ADRA is a network of colleges, laboratories, and research facilities spread out across the planet Reza. It is funded directly by the ADR's government, as well as private contributions. It is one of the largest institutions of the ADR and consists of dozens of committees and organizations that keep it running smoothly while focusing on rapid and practical scientific advancement. Some of the most notable committees and their research concentration include:
Biology Research Committee (BRC) - Biological processes and organisms
Bioethics and Ethnology Committee - Ethical and practical research practices
Genetics Committee (GC) - Genetic patterns and the understanding of gene processes; Eosa
Council for Ecological Preservation (CEP) - Wildlife preservation; employs field agents and officers to enforce wildlife ordinances
Rezaian Paleobiological Research Committee (RPRC) - Dinosaurian and "early evolution" organisms
Technical Engineering Society (TES) - Divided into three branches for civil, technical/academic, and military

Credits
This is the form of currency used by the ADR. One credit is equal to one-hundred US dollars. The credit system is entirely digital and has no physical representation, besides a "coin" which every Rezaian carries (it also contains their ID, vital information, and the ability to make calls and send messages).
There are two major components to the Rezaian economy - the most significant is research and technological exportation, which is both a massive expense and a leading source of income for the ADR. Funding studies and extensive research can take an excessive amount of financial resources, but successful or meaningful research outcomes can sometimes replenish the cost several times over. However, research that fails to cover its own cost can also be a serious threat to the economy. It is a matter of skill, precision, and perhaps luck for the ADR to profit from their research ventures, but nonetheless, scientific advancements are an economic cornerstone of the ADR.
The other most notable factor of the economy is lunaculture. It is decisively more stable and reliable than Reza's income from research. Lunaculture is the ADR-developed science of growing and harvesting agricultural goods such as fruits and vegetables in facilities with environmental conditions that are synthetically simulated for the best production. It is an incredibly timely and space-efficient way to feed the colony of ADR itself, and allows for enough surplus food that lunacultural products are a significant component of Reza's exports.

MILITARY:
The ADR does not have a particularly impressive military. It focuses on practical defense of its territory and citizens, and does not seek to expand or intimidate more than absolutely necessary. The strength of the ADR's military lies not in any extensive training or superior numbers, but by technological and strategic advantage. The ADR military supplies its troops with better-than-average technology because of its advanced state of research, yet this still pales in comparison to some of the more military-based colonies. Strategists and tacticians are highly educated in the ADR, and will often attempt to win using their wits instead of sheer strength.
, ADR Military Commander
, General of Rezaian Operations
Markus North, General of Rescentan Operations
General North was born and raised on Rescenta, attending some of the ADR's best educational programs across the UOR and ADRA. He won scholarship after scholarship which would've carried him through any degree or vocational program in the colony and beyond. After a few years putting up with the daily grind of a degree that he felt wasn't teaching him anything, he ditched the academics and signed up with the military. With a little help from his educational background, he worked his way up the ranks and held positions ranging from technical engineer to front-line infantry and combat technician. Promotion after promotion, he finally got the opportunity to attend a military academy and jumped on it, graduating third in his class of three-hundred. After he commanded troops in the field, he earned the position of General of Rescentan Operations, and oversees everything military-oriented on the moon Rescenta, his old stomping grounds. He's seen as a bit rough by the public, but that suits him just fine. He gets things done with little concern for the typical overly-academized process of the ADR.
